Course requirements:
A final exam on the last day of classes, and approximately 1 homework assignment per week. Both the final and the homeworks will contribute 50% towards the final grade.

Course Description

We will cover Chapters 1-9 of Anton's book. This means that, on avarage, we will cover two subsections during one class meeting. There will be few review classes. Homework will be assigned every week. Part of the homework will be required to be turned in. The course is very compressed, since we will cover a semester's worth of material in just 5 weeks. It is thus important to follow the class closely, and work on the homework assignments on a regular basis. The instructor will be available for assistance.





Grading

The final grade will be based on the homeworks (50%) and the final exam score (50%). The actual distribution of grades will be determined based on the entire class scores, and should be similar to the score distribution from previous 309 courses.
