Qualification Postgraduate courses in mathematics teaching

CHARACTERISTICS OF STUDIES:

Qualifying Postgraduate Studies – Teaching Mathematics are intended to prepare for teaching mathematics in primary and secondary schools. Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 25 July 2019 on the standard of education preparing for the teaching profession, these programmes are provided in the field of substantive and didactic preparation for teaching another subject. for graduates  second-cycle or long-cycle programmes in the fields of study whose curricula defined learning outcomes covering knowledge and skills corresponding to the general requirements of the core curriculum for the subject – mathematics, with substantive, psychological and pedagogical preparation, in the field of  the basics of didactics and voice emission, as well as didactic teaching for teaching a subject (other than mathematics).

 

ADDRESSEES:

Admission to studies may be applied for by persons holding a master's degree who have completed higher education studies in the field of exact and natural sciences or engineering and technology, in the fields of study whose programs included outcomes  learning in mathematics (not less than 60 hours of mathematics classes in the study programme). In addition, candidates must have pedagogical training entitling them to practice the profession of a teacher.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Duration of studies:   
3 semesters – 380 hours of classes and 90 hours of professional internships.

Starting date:  beginning of October.

Classes will be carried out on weekends, mostly in a stationary mode.

Recruitment:
– registration in the IRK recruitment system from 2 June to 2 October 2025<2025 />
– admission to studies is determined, in addition to meeting formal requirements, by the order of applications

  2. Copy of higher education diploma(s).
  3. Certificate of preparation for the teaching profession.

Fees:
• cost of studies – 5700 PLN
• fee per semester – PLN 1900 (at the beginning of each semester)
